Diorama Mechanica
’Movements reconstructed through found imagery projected from a videojukebox-like machine’. Originally Diorama Mechanica (2005) was the name of an installation containing a collection of different short videoworks of animated vintage images, that I selected and cutted during a performance called Wunderkammer. The resulting images on the process of creation – I call them performéances -, are the residu of this performance held to invoke the spirit of creation. This performéance also resulted in a manifest-like text called Diorama ︎︎︎.
In time the collection of animations has grown and has been presented in different ways, so that now the title Diorama Mechanica stands for the collection of video works.
