In Paradisum
In Paradisum
This installation (2022) consists of an immersive photoprint of 12 x 2 meters, filled with vibrant colors and abstract fluid shapes. It is the result of a meditative ritual in which I radically distorted the visual qualities of photographs I collected from the physical public domain, mostly advertisements that are intentionally made to seduce us to spend money.
It’s outcome is reminiscent of action painting, in which the work derives its power from the direct way that the colours, textures and kinetic quality of the strokes of paint speak to the audience.
