All Is Not Lost
All is not lost (2016) is a short film in a visual style of a music video, made for the occasion of the exhibition ‘the ultimate sailor; under construction’ at the scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The video – commenting the sailor as a ‘heroic saviour to the rescue’ from a European-centric perspective – features archetypical silhouettes created by fashion stylist Xaviera Aubri, using couture pieces of the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Roberto Cavalli.
